In this book, he is a brash young man with a loud voice who argued with his punches in the ring.  The novel, Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, is a suspenseful, engaging, spine -tingling story about a twelve year old boy named Artemis Fowl who kidnaps a fairy. But these aren’t the fairies of bedtime stories; they live underground and are extremely technological. I would recommend this science – fiction novel to those who enjoy exciting, danger- filled, and magical stories. – Rafael

The novel, Shiloh, by Phillis Reynolds Naylor, is an intelligent, heartwarming, mind wandering story about a 12 year old boy who is determined to save an abused dog from his abusing owner who cares nothing for it & just wants it to hunt animals with him. I would recommend this realistic fiction novel to those who enjoy drama, tragedies and thrillers.-D’Andrea 

The novel, Dreams In Motion, by Terrell Davis, is a realistic, crazy, attention-grabbing story about a football star who went through many events to get where he was now: his migraines coming back, being in jail or his dad getting drunk and shooting up the place- it was hard. I would recommend this autobiography to those who enjoy crazy, exciting, and realistically written books.  – Sterling

The novel The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, by John Boyne, is a well written, enlightening, and heart wrenching story about a friendship between two nine year old boys. One is a Jew living in a concentration camp. The other is named Bruno and his father is the general at the camp. Both boys are too naive to realize their differences until it becomes clear to them that they should not be talking to each other…I would recommend this historical fiction novel to those who enjoy intriguing, spine tingling, and frightening novels.  – Grace

 The novel, The Prince of Egypt, by Walt Disney Corp., is a heart-warming, interesting, historical story about a man named Moses who was saved from death as a baby and taken by Pharaoh, the most powerful man in Egypt. As he grows, he lives another life and carries out God’s commandments concerning Egypt. I would recommend this historical fiction novel to those who enjoy suspenseful, historical, and creative stories.- Brianna

The novel, Holes, by Louis Sachar, is a curse-filled, mysterious, weird story about Stanley Yelnats who is under a curse; a curse that began with his no-good-dirtry-rotten-pig-strealing-great-great grandfather and since has follow the generations of the Yelnats.  The novel, The Giver, by Lois Lowry is a heart-wrenching, mysterious, painful story about a boy named Jonas who lives in a community where nothing ever happens. But when Jonas goes from an eleven year old to a twelve year old, he gets the job of the Receiver who holds the true joy and pain of life. I would recommend this science fiction novel to those who enjoy a dramatic, jaw-dropping, and emotional roller coaster filled stories. –KayCee

 The novel, The Skeleton Key, by Anthony Horowitz, is a thrilling, nerve wracking, roller coaster of a story about a fourteen year old boy named Alex Rider who constantly puts his life in danger to save the world. He works for MIG which is like a British CIA. I would recommend this action book to those who enjoy spying, risk taking, and happy endings. – Austin

 The novel, Homeless Bird, by Gloria Whelan, is a well-written, heart pounding, serious story about a girl named Koly about to get married at the age of fourteen- then she becomes widowed and her step mom abandons her. I would recommend this novel to those who enjoy exciting, dramatic, and heart twisting books. –Jesus

 

The novel, Monster by Walter Dean Myers, is a moving, uplifting, mysterious story about a 16 year old teenaged boy that was accused of a murder. He goes to court often to clear himself of being a monster. I would recommend this realistic fiction novel to those who enjoy riveting, fascinating, and creative stories. ~Kenda ~

 The novel, Homeless Bird by Gloria Whelan, is a realistic, heartbreaking, emotional story about a 13 year old girl that struggles through life right after her husband dies and then tries to recover. I would recommend this fiction novel to those who enjoy dramatic, emotional, and sad books. ~Cesar

 The novel, The Three Musketeers, by Alexandre Dumas, is a romantic, funny, adventure story about how a young man achieves his dream. He wants to serve the king of France as a musketeer; with the help of his friends, and his love interest he’ll goon a journey he will never forget. I would recommend this classic adventure to those who enjoy romance, historical fiction, and adventure. ~ Allyson

 The novel , Homeless Bird by Gloria Whelan is an emotional, heart warming, romantic story about a 13 year old girl named Koly who by her Indian ethnic background was forced to get married. Koly experienced beneficial and detrimental things that will forever stick to her life like glue. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy extrodinary endings from betrayal, emotional roller coasters and romance. ~ Whitney

 The novel The Watson’s go to Birmingham by Christopher Paul Curtis is a historical, emotional, hilarious, book about a ten year old boy named Kenny and his family the weird Watson’s of Flint, Michigan. They are going to Birmingham, Alabama to go visit Kenny’s mother in one the darkest moments in history of 1963. I would recommend this historical fiction novel to those who like emotional, funny and enjoyable novels. -Walterine

The novel, Cryptid Hunter, is a thrilling, suspenseful, unbelievable story about two twins named Michael and Grace who get lost on an island. I would recommend this story to those who enjoy suspenseful, thrilling, and fictional stories.-Gregory

The novel Warriors by Erin Hunter is a fantastic, spine-tingling, unpredictable story about certain cats living in the forest and the problems they have to face. Some of the problems the cats have to face make them do drastic things…. like having to leave the forest forever. I would recommend this heart-pounding novel to those who enjoy fantasy, haunting memories, and daring decisions. – Heather

 The novel, Birdwing, by Rafe Martin is a dramatic, intense, heartouching story about a boy that is turned into a swan along with his six brothers.  He is the youngest and his sister has to break the spell but he is not turned into full human- he has a wing as an arm. I recommend this book to people who like action, mystery, and sadness.-Alberto

The novel, Scorpions, by Walter Dean Myers is a make you or break you, suspenseful, mysterious story about a boy in the day and age where peer pressure is a nasty disease that can and will be spread. Jamal is torn between taking his brother’s business of drug dealing and thinking about the fact that they are struggling with his brother in jail. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a good realistic, sometimes unbearable or even sad book. –JaLissa

 The novel, The First Part Last is a thrilling, emotional, and breath taking story about a boy named Bobby. He does not have a good relationship with his parents. He is always telling about his childhood stories for example: “My mom says I didn’t sleep through the night until I was eight years old. We never talked. I guess I thought she needs to be there.”  I would recommend this book to those who would like to be surprised by sad and thrilling books. -A’Jaih

 The novel Ties that Bind, Ties that Break, by Lensy Namioka, is an engaging, brave, painful story about a girl who refuses to bind her feet even if it was a tradition in her family and also for her society.  She not only didn’t want to look like her older sisters who are still young and got married in a too early age but she didn’t want to suffer the terrible pain of binding her feet too young and also getting married too young.  Even though she had already found love, she knew she first had to study and have a career of her own. I would recommend this historical-fiction novel to those who enjoy creative, challenging, and heart-pounding stories. -Lorena

The novel , Ties that Bind, Ties that Break, by Lensey  Namioka, is a mysterious, suspenseful and disturbing story about a girl name Ailin who has to get her feet bound, which is a tradition in China before 1911.  I would recommend this novel to those who enjoy breathtaking, painful and engaging stories.  -Josh
